Lionel Messi has reaffirmed his commitment to Barcelona but has claimed that he will only stay with the club as long as they can satisfy his hunger for trophies.
A report from El Pais earlier this month revealed that Messi actually has a clause in his current contract which allows him to leave Camp Nou, for free, whenever he feels like it.
That clause caused panic amongst fans that the Ballon d’Or winner could depart at the end of the season.
But those fears have been sated by Messi who has indicated that he still wants to play for the Blaugrana – but only as long as they are competing for the game’s top honours.
